Planning /Design:


The planning and design steps bring together your dreams and ideas with our planners and building team. Whether you choose to use one of our design professionals or a designer of your own, or even if you choose to rely on your own creative skills, we will all work together to bring your plan to life! 

Once we have a basic idea of what your looking for and prior to any work beginning, we will schedule pre-build meetings at times that are most convenient for you. Depending on the complexity of your project, at least two pre-build meeting are usually required.

During these meetings we will introduce you to the design professionals and suppliers that will be consulting and bidding on your project.

Here, we want to ensure you are familiar and confident with the input being presented as well as the products best suited for your needs, this also gives you ample opportunity to consider your options and make any changes you feel are necessary before the building phase begins.

Once you are confident with your choices we will generate and supply you with a detailed cost breakdown and functional time line, which will serve to help keep your project on budget and on time. After work has started weekly meetings are scheduled to insure any issues or concerns are brought to light before each new phase begins.

Diligence/Stewardship:

Many projects, like a new build home, can require a variety of documentation and approvals from municipal officials, specific government agencies, and other third party professionals, like structural or geotechnical engineers and insulation and envelope engineers just to name a few. The average home owner is often not fully aware of these requirements and sign offs.

Here lies one of the great advantages of soliciting a general contractor, regardless of whether you choose to take an active or passive role in you project, you can be assured that not only all current building code requirements been met but all third party professionals are accredited and have supplied the appropriate approvals to ensure the safety and Integrity of your project.

PLAN - DESIGN - BUILD

Build: This stage may seem like a no brainer - get it done, right...?!

Yes and no.. Planning is one thing, but actually seeing and walking through the reality of what you've been sketching in your mind for so long can be overwhelming especially when the project has evolved into something resembling a hive of activity and production. You've spent a lot of time and energy thinking about what you want and now your knee deep in sawdust.

Don't panic, and if you do, it's ok... :)

Second guessing ones decisions is normal as It can be hard to completely visualize elements until they start to materialize in the building stage and you may think it's just not right.

There will be ample opportunities for you to walk through your project so you can see and understand the progress and even make

changes if necessary.

Site Preparation - Not all sites are created equal:

Let's face it, construction projects require some degree of disruption to personal routines and possibly your neighborhood. Demolition, excavation may be needed, and let's not leave out the accumulation of debris associated with any project.


We know that we are guests in your neighborhood, we also know not everyone may fully understand what is going on.

First and foremost, we have a responsibility to you and your neighbors to keep sites clean and sightly as well as establish and maintain an open dialogue with your neighbors and even those who may just be curious.  We will field the explanations and do everything in our power to make sure your neighbors are well informed and comfortable throughout the building process. You have better things to worry about, like picking new furniture...!
